On Friday night, near Uluberia station in Howrah district, West Bengal, an incident unfolded where two coaches of the Howrah-Mumbai Mail, bound for Mumbai, separated. According to officials, the detachment occurred in the Birshibpur area at approximately 9:30 pm. Aditya Chaudhary, the Chief Public Relations Officer of South Eastern Railway, confirmed that the train was not running at high speed when the incident took place.
As of now, there are no reported casualties, and all passengers have been safely transported to their destination by adding another bogie. Senior officials have reached the site to assess the situation, and an investigation into the cause of the detachment is underway.
